The Captain Smith(Colin Farrell)falls in love with chief's daugther. They both live a wonderful love story. Then the others from the ship don't want to go anymore. They find out about the love story and start a war. The British win. Smith makes it look like he's been drowned. She after along time marries some other guy who takes her to London where she discovers that Smith isn't dead. They meet but don't get back together. She in the mean time has has a child. Then she dies at the end and Smith and her son go back to the Americas.
