Desmond escapes and Jack has to keep on pushing the button. At the same time you discover that the people from the back of the airplane are still alive at a different part of the island and the "Others" have already started kidnapping them. Jin, Michael and Sawyer return to the island and get captured by the presumed "Others" but then they turn out to be the people that had survived the crash in the back of the airplane. When the two groups meets there's a misunderstanding and Shannon dies. Mike decides to explore the jungle to look for his son but he also gets captured by the "Others" who make him bring back Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley so he can get back his son. Mike gets back his son while the four Mike gave up to the "Others" become prisoners. Lock then decides to see what happens if he stops pressing the button...

Walt, his father (who killed the policeman in the group) and the fat guy's blond playmate (who also imprisoned the Doctor in Jack's group and the ridiculous blond rebel with the dumb hat) leave the island on a boat thanks to indications given to them by the "Others" (I won't tell you who they are, because that's Season 3). In the meantime the code doesn't get inserted and the whole island is hit by lightning storms and intense light. The magnetization is the reason the airplane's crash there. Ever since Jack's almost second wife's only and real love stopped inserting the code, the island has strange magnetic strengths.

The writer gets to Portugal and asks the girl to marry him. The boy finds the courage to tell the girl that he likes her and the father bonks Claudia Schiffer.

Slevin, in conclusion decides to avenge the death of his father and kills the two gangsters with Nick's help.

During the fight Gollum bites off Frodo's finger with the ring on it. They both fall in the crater byt Frodo manages to hold himself on a small perch. Gollum falls to the flames below with the ring. Sauron is detroyed. Aragorn is crowned King and marries Arwen. Gandalf, Frodo and Bilbo get invited to live in the land of the immortals by the Elves and thereby embark on their journey. San marries Rose and has a family. Faramir and Eowyn get married (but you don't see that).
